For years, I’ve had a dream tucked away in the back of my mind: to become a digital nomad. I’d scroll through Instagram, watching people work from mountain tops and beaches, and a voice in my head would say, “I’ll do that someday.”
But “someday” never came. I was always waiting for the perfect moment—when I had enough money saved, when I had the perfect remote job, when I felt brave enough. I was waiting for the perfect image of a digital nomad life to become my reality, and in the process, I was losing sight of the first, most important step: starting.
So, this blog is my first step. It’s an admission that I’m not a nomad yet. My office is my living room, my days are a mix of work, chores, and weekend errands, and my biggest adventure last week was finding a new coffee shop.
This is a space to talk about the messy middle. It’s for anyone who dreams of a big life change but is currently navigating the day-to-day. I’ll share my struggles and victories, from building a stable remote income and learning new skills to the mental and emotional work of preparing for a massive life pivot. I’ll be honest about the money I’m saving, the fears I’m facing, and the moments I feel like giving up.
I hope that by sharing my journey, I can make the path a little less daunting for you. The truth is, the journey to a new life doesn’t start when you get on the plane. It starts the moment you decide to stop waiting.
Thank you for being here. Let’s start the adventure together.
